Airline Industry Information - Three Chinese airlines to launch new China-Taiwan flights

Three more Chinese airlines have been given permission to operate flights between China and Taiwan.
Sichuan Airlines, Shandong Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines are each expected to introduce two weekly flights to Taiwan.

Until now, six airlines based in China have been allowed to offer flights across the Taiwan Strait: Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Xiamen Airlines and Shanghai Airlines.
A new agreement signed by the two sides will also lead to additional flights on the route. The number of services will reportedly increase to 54 regular passenger flights every week, compared with the current 18 weekend flights.
